Healing in the Gospels
God gave us examples of people who received healing in the Gospels to teach us principles and to help us receive. The details in these examples are there to teach us.
The example in Matthew 8 highlights the characteristics of great faith. Jesus did not refer to great faith many times. He could have just mentioned faith without adding the word ‘great’, but there’s a reason He added that extra reference to the type of faith seen in this man.
If we want to learn from his example of walk in great faith, then it’s worth studying Matthew 8. In the next teaching, we will discuss the other person Jesus said this about in Matthew 15.
