Mark 5: Confidence in the Power of God to Heal

In Mark 5, the woman with the issue of blood showed confidence in the power of God, the anointing, upon Jesus. Her faith is recorded in Mark 5 for us to learn from. God gave us her healing as an example.

Healing in the Gospels

Jesus knew how to help people receive and God has chosen examples from His ministry to teach us. 

This example in Mark 5 shows the woman with the issue of blood put her faith and confidence in the anointing upon Jesus. She knew that when she came into contact with the God’s power, she would be healed. Jesus complimented how she did things. The passage shows us how we can receive healing too.

If we will learn from the examples God has given us and do what they did (ie: what God’s Word is showing us), we can get the results they got. This is why God has given us these examples.
