By Healing All, Jesus Revealed God’s Will

A number of times the Gospel say that Jesus healed all who were present. The times when everyone was healed in the Gospels could be called ‘mass healings’.

These passages do not give details about each person healed, but simply a broad statement saying that Jesus healed everyone, or all. This didn’t just happen once or twice; it happened over and over again in the Gospels.

Matthew 8:16

:16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick,

Mass healings where everyone was healed (All)

Jesus’ ministry shows us the eternal will of God for all people for all time. The times when Jesus healed everyone teach us that God still heals everyone today. So, according to Jesus’ ministry, God’s will is to heal people and by ‘healing them all’, Jesus showed God’s will to heal everyone.

Some people have a problem accepting this, but the evidence from Jesus’ ministry is overwhelming. We either accept what Jesus (who is the will of God in action and the Head of the Church) shows us or we fight against the Word of God on the subject. However, a person cannot claim to preach biblical truth, but be at odds with Jesus.

I choose to believe Jesus’ life and ministry above the modern opinions and teachings of man.

Healing was freely available for all in Jesus’ Ministry

Mark 6:56

:56 Wherever He entered into villages, cities, or in the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.

This verse shows healing was freely available for any who came to get it. It mentions no restrictions about ‘only those God wants to heal’ etc. Everyone who was sick simply came, touched and got healed.

Here, people received healing easily and without restriction. If healing was that freely available from Jesus then, it is the same now too because Jesus never changes.

Luke 9:11

:11 But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing.

Notice the powerful phrase ‘healed those who had need of healing’. This gives us a lot of insight. It does not say Jesus ‘only healed some’ or that He withheld healing from some. Everyone who needed healing came and He healed them all.

How many would Jesus not heal?

Were there any in the crowds that ‘it was not God’s will to heal?

If God does not heal ‘all’ (like some people falsely claim), then surely there would have been some in those crowds that God did not want to heal. There would be an example of someone Jesus turned away. However, there are no such examples because there is no one that God won’t heal. God wants to heal everyone.

Nowhere does it say, “Jesus healed all the ones it was God’s will to heal and left the others sick!” There is not a single instance in all the sick people Jesus dealt with that He wouldn’t heal! (Some faced some challenges, but they got their healing by the end of the account!)

Jesus healed them all, because it was God’s will for all to be healed. There were none who God did not want to heal. If God Healed them all then, He heals all today because He never changes.

Are there examples in Jesus’ Ministry of people it was not God’s will to Heal?

No, there are not.

Why didn’t the Holy Spirit give us any examples of people who it wasn’t God’s will to heal?

The answer is simple: there are no examples of this because there weren’t any. There was not a single person in those crowds who God did not want to heal. The same is true today.

The idea that there are some people God does not want to heal is a false doctrine that has no scriptural evidence to support it. It is an opinion invented by man and then taught as if it was Biblical.

Healing was not a side issue to Jesus. It was a major part of His ministry, because Healing is important to God. Also, it is always God’s will and God wants to heal everyone.
