I’m the Only One

Do you feel like you are the only one standing up for good teaching of the Word in your area?

  • Have you found it hard to stand up for the Word and feel like no one is listening?
  • Does it feel like there is almost no Word being taught in your town?

Then read on. You’re not alone, support is here.

Elijah felt Alone. God had a Solution

1 Kings 19:14-16, 18

:14 And he said, “I have been very zealous for the Lord God of hosts; because the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life.”
:15 Then the Lord said to him: “Go, return on your way to the Wilderness of Damascus; and when you arrive, anoint Hazael as king over Syria.
:16 Also you shall anoint Jehu the son of Nimshi as king over Israel. And Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel Meholah you shall anoint as prophet in your place.

:18 Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.”

Elijah felt like he was the only person taking a stand.

Many Christians who are hungry for the Word of God in their area feel like they are alone and isolated. They feel like they have taken a stand in their church for the Word of God, but others are not interested. This can feel discouraging and make people feel isolated. Some have even stopped going to church out of frustration for the low level of teaching in their town.

Gods reply to Elijah is powerful

1) in :18, God told Elijah: you are not the only one. There’s 7000 others in the nation too!
2) in :16, God connected Elijah with someone else to stand with

God instructed Elijah to anoint some people. One of these was Elisha who became Elijah’s successor. However, he first became Elijah’s companion: someone to stand with, so Elijah didn’t feel alone.

God understood the power of having someone to stand with you, so He connected Elijah and Elisha. In order to keep standing, Elijah needed support.

From These Shores is that support. I recognise that Word Christians all over this country feel isolated. They are hungry for the Word, hungry for more, but feel they keep getting sidelined and shut down.

A United Force for the Word

It’s time for that to change. It’s time to unite behind a common cause. You are not alone. Right across this nation, there’s other like you.

Let’s unite behind a Common cause

This ministry has a vision of a growing force of united Christians across the UK, who are willing to stand up for the Word, stand up for solid teaching of the Word and declare:

  • Enough unscriptural religious teaching in the church
  • No more compromised watered down Word
  • Enough opinions of man
  • We want the Word of God to take the position of dominance in the UK church.

Time for things to change

For decades, it’s seemed like a barrier has prevented the Word of God taking full dominance in the UK church: a barrier of religious teaching and man’s ideas. It is time for that barrier to be smashed once and for all, so that the Word of God can grow mightily, spread freely and prevail in the UK church.
